- 04-22-2008 American Astronomer Promotes Science at Schools
- Cape Town, April 22, 2008. American astronomer Eric Wilcots, from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, today gave two presentations to 10- 12 grade learners at the Centre of Science and Technology School (COSAT).
- 04-17-2008 Islamic International Peace University Receives Book Donation
- April 17, 2008. US Consulate Cape Town donated 75 books to the library of the International Peace University South Africa (IPSA), the only Islamic institution of higher learning in Southern Africa.
- 04-13-2008 118th Assembly of the Interparliamentary Union
- Congressman Donald Payne participated in the 118th Assembly of the Interparliamentary Union in Cape Town April 11-14. Although the US is not a member and has not participated in IPU assemblies in many years, Congressman Payne was asked to deliver the keynote address.
- 04-04-2008 USAID Officer Discusses Entrepreneurship with Young People in Mpumalanga
- The audience, which included high school students, budding entrepreneurs and recent school-leavers, both employed and unemployed, asked many questions and afterwards said how much they enjoyed the program, only wishing that it could have lasted longer, with more in-depth information on finances and cash-flow, marketing, compiling a business plan, etc.

- Cape Town, Wednesday 20 February U.S. Ambassador to South Africa Erica Bost handed over a donation of over 100 books, including a complete set of Encyclopedia Americana, to the library of Luhlaza High School in Khayelitsha on the Cape Flats.
