Visa Information Service (to schedule your interview)
$10 for Visa Information Internet Service to schedule your appointment on line, (using a credit card through http://www.usvisa-southafrica.com/ ) OR R86 Visa Information Telephone Service to schedule your appointment via the telephone call center. The call center can be reached toll-free in South Africa (0-800-980-444), toll-free in the U.S. (1-888-859-4680) or via local call in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban (087-940-7597).
Visa application fees
November '09: $131.00 = R1048.00
Payable in cash at any branch of First National Bank (FNB, no account number is required.
THE RECEIPT FROM FNB MUST SAY “CUSTOMER COPY” IN THE BOTTOM LEFT HAND CORNER. Applicants should verify that they have the correct receipt before leaving the bank. The consulates will only be able to accept receipts that say “CUSTOMER COPY.”
Courier fee
R66.00 — for delivering your passport & visa; payable at the time of the interview. This service is mandatory at Johannesburg and Cape Town Consulates only.

Please note: There is no public parking available for consular clients at the Consulate General Johannesburg; vehicle standing/stopping and passenger drop-off in the Consulate General driveways are not permitted. Please be advised that vehicles may not stop/stand on Sandton Drive in front of the Consulate General to drop off or pick up passengers or for any other reason. Secure parking (for a fee) is available within a 10-minute walk of the building.
