The US Consulate in Cape Town co-sponsored the film “Have You Heard From Johannesburg” at the downtown Labia

Theatre February 13.  The film, a history of the US anti-apartheid movement, was part of the Free at Last Film Festival celebrating the 20th anniversary of Nelson Mandela’s release from prison.

Consul General Alberta Mayberry introduced the film, and former U.S. ambassador to South Africa James Joseph and consulate official Nathan Holt described their involvement with some of the events depicted in the film.  The consulate also screened the film February 23 at the Cape Town Central Library.
