Books for US Funded Christel House School

May 14, 2009

Consul General Alberta Mayberry visited the newly opened Christel House school  to donate books and meet students and faculty.  While there she also met a group of Americans from Indiana University who are teaching entrepreneurial skills at the school.

Christel house has only recently moved into a new facility in the Athlone area of Cape Town.  The school offers free education to selected students who fall below the poverty line.  Christel House is one of five such schools around the world founded, and primarily funded  by American businesswoman and philanthropist Christel DeHaan.
