American Library in Cape Town Director Gives Workshop to Parliamentary Librarians

August 14, 2007

Ensuing from an innovative training course in Vienna recently, entitled “U.S. Government Information on the Internet Workshop for IRC Staff and Key Contacts,” course partners American Library in Cape Town Director and a South African Parliamentary Librarian teamed up in Cape Town on August 3 to present recommended websites for finding U.S. government and legal information on the internet to approximately 15 Parliamentary Librarians.

Our Parliamentary Library partner has drawn on his Vienna training to produce a “USG info” site on Parliament’s intranet, which we used to highlight tips and key websites for finding U.S. government information. We intend to repeat this presentation to legislative researchers at their next group meeting.
