Ambassador Donald Gips and Family Spend the Day in Langa Ambassador Gips and his family spent the day in Langa, one of the oldest townships in S.A. They visited Siyaphambili orphan village and later the Love Life Center. They saw performances of traditional dance 'n drumming, took part in group discussions, and presented books for Siyaphambili’s after-school reading program.

Inauguaral Positive Convention on Living with HIV/AIDS On Friday, 6 November 2009, at Gallagher Estate in Midrand, Pholokgolo Ramothwala in partnership with PEPFAR agencies, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, USAID, Johns Hopkins Health and Education South Africa, Soul City’s OneLove Campaign, and Positive Women’s Network is holding a one day conference on Living with HIV/AIDS.
Shared Legacies An exhibition, bringing together the works by two renowned photographers, Duggan-Cronin and Curtis, opened at the Centre for African Studies, University of Cape Town. Working on separate continents, the two shared the intention of documenting indigenous peoples at a time when modernity threatened their way of life.

Help for Communities Affected by HIV/AIDS Johannesburg: US Consul General, Andy Passen awards a total of $288,000.00 in grants to 28 Community NGOS from Gauteng, Mpumalanga, Free State and the North West. The funds will help the organizations to continue with their efforts to help communities affected by HIV/AIDS.
